What would you do in this situation?Is it God’s will?

In February 2008 I began playing the organ at a small Baptist church.They did not have a working organ so I borrowed a keyboard from a friend & my niece ordered a Yamaha keyboard.The company sent a defective(sound) Harmony keyboard .After much complaint -one to the BBB- the company refunded my money & admitted it was a toy.I am back to square 1. My niece ordered a course that promised to help me play by ear & acquire perfect pitch.I am playing by ear now so all I need is to train my ear better.That course was sent and supposedly arrived in my area two months ago today.However, the post office has been unable to track it even though it has a number for that purpose. I do not want to blame God; & the person at the company is telling me to wait as she is tracking it.My question is : God knows I want to work for Him.I have to travel a great distance to the church.Why didn’t I get the Yamaha? Why is the package I need lost?I believe God loves me & that church yet this is tough.Comment.

When you believe that every little detail in the world is controlled or planned by God, then things like this become maddening.

What further amazes me is when pastors have the audacity to claim that when you don’t “sin” then somehow your life will be blessed…meaning more money…less problems. Also somehow giving your last dollar will result in financial blessings.

I don’t subscribe to this viewpoint, and there is no proof it works, as if it did, everyone would be doing it to gain money and possessions.

God does love you, and he wants you to continue working. Realize that things are flawed in this world: things get lost, people (including Christians) are dishonest, things wear out, people get sick, people die. It is just the way the world is.

Neither God nor Satan are thwarting your plans…don’t buy into that blame game. God doesn’t cause bad things to happen; like death, floods, sickness. However, it doesn’t mean that good can’t come out of the aftermath when tragedy strikes, and that is up to us to make that good happen.

Hang in there, don’t let it get you down…keep swinging.
